Geography
Elk Grove Village is located at 42°0'11" North, 87°59'47" West

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has
a total area of 28.7 km² (11.1 mi²). 28.6 km² (11.0 mi²) of it is land
and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.54% water.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 34,727 people, 13,278 households, and 9,294
families residing in the village. The population density is 1,214.5/km² (3,145.8/mi²).

The racial makeup of the village is 86.03% White, 1.41% African American,
0.10% Native American, 8.79% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 2.30% from other
